Safeguarding statement

How the product is designed

• No social network: there is no public profile, no discovery of other users, and no messaging between students. Students cannot be contacted by strangers through OmniStudy.
• No advertising: there are no adverts in the app and no data is used for targeted advertising.
• Minimal data by default: the app works without an email address or any account. Study data is stored on the student’s own device by default; cloud backup is optional.
• Education-only AI: the AI tutor and marking are built for revision. Study prompts are processed by our AI provider with safety settings applied, contain no name or email, and are not used to train public AI models.

Adult access is consent-based and limited

• Parents: a parent can only link to a student with a one-time code generated on the student’s device. Parents see progress and study time. They do not see the student’s typed answers or AI tutor conversations, and either side can unlink at any time.
• Teachers: students join a class by entering the teacher’s class code. Teachers see academic data (mastery, study time, homework results) for their own cohorts only.

For schools

OmniStudy is used by individual students and by whole classes rolled out through school codes. For due diligence, read this page together with the privacy policy (data flows, third parties, retention) and the accessibility statement. If your safeguarding or data protection review needs something not written down here, ask: you will get a direct answer from the developer.

Reporting a concern

If you believe the app has surfaced inappropriate content, or you have any safeguarding concern about how OmniStudy works, contact omnistudyrevision@gmail.com. Reports about content or safeguarding are treated as the highest priority.

If a child is at immediate risk, contact your school’s designated safeguarding lead or the police. OmniStudy is a revision tool and is not a monitoring or reporting service.
